My friend (and one of my favorite film bloggers), Chris McKittrick, has a great interview up with John DeFazio, cinematographer on The Canyons, over on his site Movie Buzzers. Sidenote: Chris once mentioned me in a review for a movie I was only in for like 3 minutes. He called me one of ‘the most subtly cleavagy nurses in movie history,’ which made me reddit famous for like 5 minutes, and we became friends. I love him and I will shamelessly plug him anytime, anywhere. Anyway, all of his articles are great for real film-buffs, but this one is gossip worthy because: LINDSAY LOHAN, duuuuh. Yes, of course John talks some crap about Ms. Lohan and her on-set behavior:

“Paul Schrader wanted to execute the same types of shots he did on American Gigolo. We never would have gotten them on a micro-budget if I hadn’t had a phenomenal crew to back me up, especially considering the variable of working with Lindsay Lohan and all the time that was wasted waiting on her and dealing with her temper tantrums. Often times we just had to get down and hand-jam it because we were losing the light, or the sun was rising and Lindsay wouldn’t come out of her room for whatever reason.”

I could go on and on about how inappropriate this kind of behavior is, and how it should not be tolerated- especially when you are getting paid a ton of money to do the one of the best jobs there is. But, we all know that already, and Lindsay being a hot-mess-pain-in-the-ass isn’t anything new.

However, I do recommend you head over to read the full article at Movie Buzzers, because it’s great.

  1. My brother recommended I might like this web site. He was once entirely right. This put up truly made my day. You can not believe simply how so much time I had spent for this info! Thank you!
